South East Regional Swimming Results

Three students shared their results at the South East Regional Summer Championships at High Wycombe over the past weekend

Jack (Y11) and Ming Li (Y11) both made it to the finals of the following events:

Jack:

200 Back 5th place in 2.17.45

50  Back 8th place in 29.08

Ming:

100 Butterfly 6th place in 1.02.37

Romeo (Y7) also took part in his first South-East Regional Swimming Championships in April. Having been very successful in the Kent Championships back in February/March, this was a real step up, with swimmers coming from as far as across as Thanet to Portsmouth and Milton Keynes at the north of the region. Romeo competed in 4 days of competition across two weekends, firstly in Crawley in West Sussex, followed by Winchester in Hampshire.

Romeo was delighted to have achieved the following positions:

400 IM – 2nd

200 IM – 2nd

800 free - 2nd

100 back – 2nd

200 back – 2nd

400 free – 2nd

200m free – 3rd

100m free – 8th

Romeo is now targeting swimming in the National Championships in Sheffield in the summer, in the age group above.
