Trips
Each year at the Judd School, we offer an extensive range of academic and co-curricular residential trips. Additionally, students have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of day trips, including outings to London, and beyond, for art exhibitions, theatre productions and music events. The School also participates successfully in many competitions in the various academic fields, often reaching finals at a national level. These opportunities combine to create an exceptionally well-rounded learning experience.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
We provide a diverse range of study and field trips which strengthen our classroom-based learning. These include European trips ; Classics tours of Italy and Greece, RS tour to Andalucia and academic fieldwork trips to Wales for A-level study - Snowdonia for Geography and Dale Fort for Biology where students gain practical experience in the field in preparation for their final exams.
Opportunities are also provided for students to participate in modern language exchanges with study trips to France and Germany, where students can immerse themselves in the local culture and practise their language skills.
CO-CURRICULAR
Numerous co-curricular tours and expeditions take place within the areas of Music, Sport and Service, enabling students the chance to stretch themselves, learn new skills and compete at an international level. In previous years we have run European Music Tours; Rugby tours to South Africa and South America; Cricket tours to Barbados; Cross Country training in Lanzarote and World Schools Cross Country Championships in Kenya.
Outdoor events are provided in Year 7 and Year 12, when we run Induction programmes to encourage friendships and connections to be made. Some of the challenges available include Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Combined Cadet Forces and these opportunities help students develop confidence and new skills.
We have also taken part in the World Challenge Expedition to Ecuador ; ski trips to Canada and Geography trips to Iceland; these have provided both fun and new or improved skills, as well as an opportunity to learn about other cultures.
