Angus' England Rugby Success
During the Easter break Angus was part of the England u19 squad who beat Italy 40-10.
Angus has participated in a range of sports throughout his time at Judd, most notably rugby, cricket, athletics and football. Through rugby he has won the Kent title twice at u14 once for his year group and then with the u15s the same year as well as going unbeaten in the 15 a side season. In 2022, he captained the u16s to an unbeaten season for the 15 a side team and then went on to win the All-England rugby 7s, he was named player of the Tournament. A prestigious event with the previous two winning captains being England Men’s Tom Curry and Marcus Smith, so he was in good company!
At the senior level Angus captained the 1st XV rugby team this year and was part of the Judd 1st XV who won the u18 Kent League & beat Skinners 3 years in a row. He also helped the 1st XV to multiple historic victories over RGS Guildford; Tonbridge; John Fisher & Campion.
Angus played for Saracens Academy captaining them to 5th place in the U18 academy league with a 45-7 win over Midlands West. In the summer 2023, he was also part of the England u18 squad who toured South Africa coming away with 2 wins against Western province and France u18s and narrowly losing to South Africa. He was then selected as part of the wider u20s 6 Nations Squad where he helped that side prepare to win the 2024 U20s 6 Nations, representing that side vs Portugal u20s as part of their winter preparations. Angus is now hoping to continue with both Saracens and England, as he graduates from The Judd School. We wish Angus the best of luck and look forward to watching him, keep going.
We are all very proud of yours and your team's' achievements well done.
