YSJ Conference: Winning Poster for The Judd School
On Wednesday 13th November, Dr Ackroyd accompanied a group of year 12 and 13 students to The King's School in Canterbury for the Young Scientists Journal Conference. They were treated to an amazing array of talks including CAR-T therapies, Science public engagement and communication, AI in Biology and oceanography. Some of our students presented posters, including some original research.
Maximus (Y13) was the winner of the Biology poster competition with his Fly Lab project on Genetic Inheritance of Preference for Ethanol and Sucrose Solutions with Equal Caloric Content in Drosophila melanogaster. This was an impressive project carried out during year 12. Congratulations Max!!!
