UK Space Design Competition - Finals

Our group of Scientists who won the regional heat of the UKSDC in Term 1, went back for more to Imperial College London and took part in the Finals on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August. All 12 of them had an excellent, albeit tiring, experience resulting in an excellent presentation of their proposal. Although their company did not win, any of the 269 students taking part have a chance to be among the 12 selected to represent the UK to the International Space Settlement competition at the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida in July 2025.
Well done to Christine, Peter, Daniel, Joe, Liam, Oscar, Frederic, Aidan, Isaac, George, Rishi and Yadu for your enthusiasm.
Special mention to:
- Oscar for being voted in as President of their Company and giving a confident introduction to their proposal+
- Liam for his presentation of his team technical slides of the proposal (no notes used)
- Isaac and Frederic for showing their expertise and confidently answering the judges questions (in front of 300 people)
- and Isaac, for receiving an individual award for best innovative technological idea of his company.
