Tonbridge School Science Conference - From atoms to stars
On Friday 1st March, a group of our Year 12 students attended this conference which featured three distinguished keynote speakers. Professor Stephan Rauschenbach from Oxford University spoke about imagine at the atomic level in biophysics; Professor Neil Allan from Bristol University presented on using theoretical chemistry to predict molecules to combat heavy metal pollution; Dr Graham Turnock from the European Space Agency discussed how to tackle the increasing problem of space debris. However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the opportunity for our students to showcase their own research endeavours through engaging presentations. Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident in their clear and articulate posters and oral presentations. We're proud of their accomplishments and their commitment to academic excellence.
