Invicta Secondary Maths Challenge

On January 28th, a Year 10 team consisting of Leo, Ishann, Max, and Shaurya took part in the Invicta Secondary Maths Challenge. The competition featured four rounds, including the nerdle, UKMT-style questions, a factorial worksheet, and a relay session. Throughout the event, the boys showed great enthusiasm and dedication, thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Shaurya expressed his excitement about the challenge, saying, "I absolutely loved the maths challenge. The questions were original, and the timed aspect made efficiency and creative problem-solving crucial." He also suggested adding more team-based challenges to enhance the experience for each participant.

Ishann reflected on the team’s performance, noting strengths in teamwork, collaboration, and the factorial and relay rounds. However, he pointed out that they could have done better with the UKMT-style questions and the nerdle game in Round 1.

Overall, the event was a memorable and enjoyable experience for the team, helping them develop both their problem-solving skills and their ability to work together under pressure.
