Welcome from our Head Boy and Head Girl
Frederic Fong- Head Boy
The Judd School is an institution of excellence, equipping students with the skills and strong character necessary to thrive in today’s dynamic world. It is an honour and a privilege to welcome you to our exceptional community.
Academic excellence underpins the educational experience at Judd. The broad and balanced curriculum allows us to rigorously explore a vast array of traditional subjects, before eventually finding our own interests. Our subject-expert teachers encourage us to learn for the love of learning, guiding us to develop our own unique variety of passions. As a result, Juddians regularly excel at academic competitions and olympiads. Throughout the learning journey, an emphasis is placed on instilling indispensable learning characteristics into every student, creating lifelong inquisitive scholars.
Outside the classroom, the stellar extracurricular provision at Judd builds well-rounded members of society. Whether it's sport or the arts, at the beginner or elite level, a sense of fulfilment is gained from the progress that students achieve. Since joining the school in year 7, Judd has broadened my horizons with the numerous trips offered. I have been fortunate to perform with the school orchestra on tour in Belgium, strengthening friendships and making fond memories that truly enriched school life. Each Juddian’s experience will be shaped by personal interests, but the extensive range of opportunities throughout the school contribute to crafting empathetic, responsible and courageous individuals.
Our community is strengthened by the diversity of backgrounds and perspectives within the student body, united under a common Juddian identity. The house system that runs within the school fosters positive relationships between students and staff, with a reassuring continuity of familiar faces as students grow. Beyond the school gates, the impressive legacy of Old Juddians, a testament to the school’s long-standing tradition of exceptional education, motivates us to strive for success.
Every member of this school is proud to belong to the Juddian community. I hope that after exploring our website, you will be inspired to join us.

The school ethos, ‘learn grow belong’ is an integral part of being a Juddian. The friendly school community quickly allowed me to settle into Judd and it already feels like a second home. The students and staff here are supportive and passionate, providing a safe environment in which you can explore your academic interests, make firm friendships and develop and grow as a person.
Judd has a well deserved reputation of academic excellence because its students are provided with high-quality teaching and we are encouraged to be excited by our subjects. Since joining the school I have been given many opportunities to enrich my academic studies beyond the curriculum such as taking part in Olympiad competitions and attending and presenting in Chemistry Society and Biology Society.
The academic achievements of the school come hand in hand with the extra-curricular ones too, from orchestra to rugby to theatre productions, there is a plethora of clubs and sports available for students to participate in. I had the chance of learning rugby and playing in my first few matches- whilst slightly intimidating they were definitely a fun experience! Additionally there are many incredible trips available starting with the classic Year 12 induction day at Bewl Water- having to multitask making friends whilst building a raft and avoiding falling into the lake. The excursions have continued throughout the year with some students going to New York for politics, German and French exchanges and the recent biology trip to Wales.
These opportunities allow Juddians to develop holistically into well-rounded accomplished young adults and give its students a memorable time at the school. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience so far and am proud to be part of this inspiring place. I encourage you to join Judd as I’m sure you will fall in love with the school community as well and look back fondly at your time here.
