The Knole Run

The Judd School cross country teams had a very successful day on Saturday during the 50th anniversary of the Senior Knole Run. The very prestigious senior races around the beautiful, snowy, Knole park had Intermediate age group races for the first time and Judd won the boys race with a score of 20 points for the first 4 runners, with Harry Lawrence having his best ever race to win overall, Luca in 4th, Tom in 7th and Jamie completing the scoring in 8th place. The two other Judd competitors were Theo (13th) and Dougie (50th). Judd had 1 competitor in the girls race, Polly, finishing 4th in the race.

The Senior boys race was an epic team race with Judd beating Harrow School by just 1 point; the team result fluctuated many times during the race. Captain Mark led the team home with an excellent run in 8th place, closely followed by a brave run by teammate Thomas in 9th. The race was 4 to score for the first ever time, instead of the usual 6 to score; Judd had James with an outstandingly paced run in 15th and Peter in 17th place completing the scoring team. Judd's strength in depth was shown with Toby having his best ever race in 19th position, Will in 20th, George in 21st, Felipe in 30th, James 59th and Toby in 65th, to retain the trophy and reward for the hard training put in over Christmas in their Club la Santa training week with the school.
