UK Space Design Competition

On Saturday 30 November 12 sixth form students went to Imperial College London to take part in the UKSDC regional heat. The UK Space Design Competition is a science, engineering and business challenge designed as a simulation of life in industry. Teams are given a list of requirements for a space settlement and are tasked with coming up with a detailed design which they present to a panel of judges from industry, academia and business.

After a long day of working with 4 other schools on their company's proposal, they presented it to a panel of Judges, and everybody else in the lecture theatre.

Their Company won the competition and so our student will go on to compete in the National final in March 2025.

Well done to Christine, Joe, Peter, Isaac, George, Leo, Daniel, Yadu, RIshi, Oscar, Frederic and Aidan.

A special mention to Aidan and Frederic for organising it all and to Christine, Oscar, Leo and Yadu for doing an excellent job presenting their proposal to an audience of more than 250 people.
