YSJ celebrate 2018 Aspire to Engineer result
Congratulations to Dr Courel, Head of Biology and the Young Scientists Journal team who have been awarded the runner-up prize of the 2018 Aspire to Engineer competition on Genetic Engineering, run by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition 1851. They win a video call with Madeline Van Oppen from the Australian Institute of Marine Science.
"The Judd School's glowing bacteria experiment was an exemplary and ambitious entry which really showed how to push the boundaries of what can be covered in a project. The judging team were particularly impressed with the focus on experimentation on E. coli bacteria which really brought genetic engineering to life."
Well done Robert, Manav, Matthew, Alex, John, Neil and Ethan who organised and run the events! Also a massive thank you to James whose technical support was indispensable!
